Final Testing for Impasse
Excellent graphical depiction of impasse

Impasse has a surprising number of twists and turns in the logic.

No IMPASSE in this new main thread.   Cannot REPLY to Groucho in a 1.x comment, but am free in the 2.x comments.

But I was able to IMPASSE TiG since he had the last word.   Now we cannot reply to each other in 2.x comments

I impassed Groucho at @1.1 even though this is my first comment!

However, it is notable that on the thread I am impassed with Groucho, but on the new thread I am able to discuss with it. It works!

Suggestion: I think some threads will need ability to IMPASSE more than a one-time limit. Just saying! Or, the feature can be 'lifted' and 'scuffled about.'  That, might work.

Agreed.  That is configurable so if Perrie finds the need she can change the limit.

Tig, I just IMPASSED all three commenters @ 1 thread without commenting there.

Yeah the rule that prevented that was inadvertently mitigated by a subsequent change.   Fixed.
